Retinoids 2011

22 – 24 September, 2011 | Strasbourg | France

About the Workshop

Deadline for early registration is 30 June 2011 and final deadline for registration and abstracts submission is 15 August 2011

The theme of this workshop is to highlight new advances in retinoids signaling.

Retinoids, the active metabolites of Vitamin A, play a critical role in development and homeostasis and are used in the treatment of cancers and diseases. Their effects are mediated by nuclear receptors (RARs), which are ligand-dependent regulators of transcription. Research in the field is in constant progress and the recent development of novel performant technologies and models provided tremendous advances in our understanding of retinoids targets, epigenetics and therapeutics.

The objectives of the meeting are to highlight the main new discoveries in the field of retinoids, focusing on novel technologies (Chip-seq), new structural and evolution aspects, new transcription models and new targets (microRNAs), new models (stem cells) and new crosstalks with signaling pathways and epigenetics. New therapeutic approaches in the field of cancer will be also presented.

We look forward to welcoming you to Strasbourg!
