This is the fifth EMBO Conference on Telomeres and the DNA Damage Response. The telomere and the DNA damage response fields have much in common – both at the conceptual and molecular levels.

  • Telomere replication and length regulation
  • Consequences of telomere dysfunction
  • Meiosis, stem cells and cancer
  • Post-translational modifications at telomeres and upon DNA damage
  • Chromatin and chromosome structure
  • The DNA damage response
  • The impact of telomeres and the damage response on human health

The conference will focus on mechanistic aspects of these two research areas, bringing together investigators of telomere components and function, the DNA-damage response and chromatin structure.

The major objective is to encourage participation from labs from across the world working in these exciting and dynamic domains of research, and particularly to encourage students and post-doctoral fellows to discuss their latest findings in an open and co-operative environment.

The conference will be held at the Club Belambra in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and all speakers and participants will be housed there.
Transfer will be provided from Marseille Airport and the Avignon TGV train station. read more
