Drosophila is emerging as one of the primary model systems for the genetic investigation of neural circuits and behaviour. This EMBO Workshop will focus on recent technical and conceptual developments in the field, including genetic methods for identifying and manipulating specific cell types, optogenetics, electrophysiology, EM reconstructions, and automated analysis of behaviour.

Selection will be based on scientific merit, with a maximum of two representatives per laboratory (including invited speakers).
All PIs are requested to bring 100 copies of abstracts from research projects in their labs (1-2 pages total) for distribution to participants. Indicate which of these projects will be the basis for the oral presentation. Students and postdocs should provide a single abstract.

Orthodox Academy of Crete,
Accommodation in shared rooms will be provided at the Orthodox Academy of Crete. No accommodation is available for guests. Participants wishing to stay off-site should make their own accommodation arrangements and inform the organizers.
A shuttle bus will be provided to and from Chania airport. All participants are expected to be present for the entire duration of the meeting.
