Neural Development

4 - 8 December 2015 | Taipei, Taiwan

About the conference

To understand functional significance and disease state of human brain, we need to study its building blocks and constructing processes. Recent research advances in neural development are astonishing, providing extraordinary insights in underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms. Using multiple animal models and novel approaches, new knowledge in development, function and disease of nervous systems have been generated. The aim of this EMBO Conference is to provide a platform for discussion on these recent advances, with a strong intention to build ties and foster collaborations in the near future. The EMBO Conference will cover following major topics in neural development:

  • Fate Specification and Stem Cells
  • Synapse Formation and Plasticity
  • Axon and Dendrite Formation
  • Neuron‐Glia Interaction
  • Circuit Formation and Function
