Ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like modifiers: From molecular mechanisms to human diseases

18 – 22 September 2015 | Cavtat, Croatia

About the conference

Ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like proteins are key regulators of several cellular processes, and malfunction of these systems are the cause for numerous human diseases. Detailed knowledge of the molecular mechanism of these modifications as well as understanding of the underlying regulation are crucial to decipher these highly interconnected cellular processes for therapeutic targeting. This EMBO Conference brings together leading experts to discuss new findings of the field.

The ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like modifier field comprises basic biochemistry, structural biology, cell biology and translational approaches in diverse areas.
This conference includes the following sessions:
- ubiquitin modifications and quality control
- SUMO and ubiquitin-like modifications
- ubiquitination and ubiquitin-like modifications in human disease
- ubiquitin, immunity and cancer
- molecular mechanisms of ubiquitin modifications – therapeutic targets
